Support Breast Cancer Awareness at Tufts Medical Center Breast Health Center
Each year, approximately 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Tufts Medical Center Breast Health Center specializes in oncoplastic surgery, an advanced form of breast conservation surgery that removes cancerous tissue while preserving a natural breast shape using the patient's own tissue. Oncoplastic surgery allows for the removal of a larger area of tissue while lowering the risk of positive margins—a key factor in preventing cancer recurrence.
Your donation supports:
- Research that advances oncoplastic surgical techniques and treatment approaches—improving outcomes, quality of life and access to reconstructive options that preserve both function and appearance
- Direct patient support, including Neely House, Reiki therapy and other resources that ease the burden of treatment
- Nursing education, helping our surgical nurses attend annual meetings to stay current on breast cancer surgery care standards
- APP training in 3D nipple tattooing, a key part of offering complete reconstructive care, plus equipment upgrades for better cosmetic outcomes
- Our new oncoplastic breast surgery fellowship—one of the first of its kind in the country, training the next generation of specialists
Every step you take, and every dollar you give, helps us keep improving outcomes and supporting our community in the battle against breast cancer.
Join us in raising awareness, funding research and improving lives.
